Sun Health Foundation is committed to bringing superior health and wellbeing to the West Valley of the Phoenix metropolitan area. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we’ve served our local community for more than 50 years. To this day, we continue to support excellent patient care, landmark research initiatives and provide health and wellness programs. We’re driven to make a positive impact in our community and enhance every life we touch.

Bringing Good To Our Community

Sun Health Foundation is an organization driven by passion. Specifically, a passion to improve the wellbeing of our community and the quality of life of its residents.

While our roster of philanthropic efforts is extensive, we primarily focus on supporting:

  • Banner Boswell Medical Center
  • Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center
  • Banner Sun Health Research Institute
  • Sun Health Wellness, including wellness classes and services open to the community

We’re fortunate to partner with these outstanding organizations and academic institutions that share our mission to champion superior health and wellbeing. These partnerships have resulted in health care advancements, internationally recognized research and innovative community health programs.

Our Banner Health Partnership

Since the 1960s, community support through Sun Health Foundation has made possible vital health care services to meet the community’s needs, including the construction and opening of Walter O. Boswell Memorial Hospital in 1970 and Del E. Webb Memorial Hospital in 1988. In 2008, Banner Health acquired both hospitals and our philanthropic relationship commenced to maintain Sun Health Foundation’s strong community partnership.

We continue to be the exclusive fundraising arm for Banner Boswell and Banner Del E. Webb medical centers. We’re honored to be a part of Banner Health’s life-changing work, and proud that this partnership helps us carry out our mission of championing superior health and wellbeing in the local communities.
